The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is looming on the horizon, and with the auction of the tournament around the corner, the fans lie in wait to see which players change teams and go on to represent new franchises.
All 10 teams will be keen on getting the best players in their squad ahead of the IPL 2024, and one player that could make the sides splash some cash could be West Indies’ all-rounder Jason Holder.
Speaking of the same, Jason Holder also came forward to reveal the two teams that he would be keen on playing for in the IPL 2024. Holder opined that he would be interested in representing Sunrisers Hyderabad or Chennai Super Kings ahead of the new season.
“I have had a good time with Sunrisers (Hyderabad) and Chennai (Super Kings) as well. One of those two teams would be nice to go back to, but it is not in my hands," Holder was quoted as saying by NDTV.
It is worth noting that Holder has represented both Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings in the IPL. Playing for CSK in 2013 and was traded to SRH ahead of the 2015 season. Furthermore, he most recently represented Rajasthan Royals, where he took four wickets in eight matches. The Royals brought him in for INR 5.75 crore, and it could be interesting to see which franchise the star all-rounder represents in the IPL 2024.

Furthermore, Holder also lauded the schedule of the IPL and opined that playing such a prestigious tournament before the T20 World Cup 2024 is always beneficial to the players as they can get into the rhythm of the shortest format and put in their best performances.
"The T20 cricket you play leading up to a World Cup is always beneficial. Definitely, the IPL being played before the T20 World Cup would help. It will help the players prepare mentally as well," Holder said.
