Royal Challengers Bangalore are bringing back the ‘RCB Unbox’ event, which is slated to take place on March 19, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. They started the tradition in 2023 and it was a massive success, to say the least. Last year, the franchise honoured AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle as they were inducted into the RCB Hall of Fame, while they also released their official jersey and ended the day with renowned singer Sonu Nigam’s performance.
The franchise is yet to release the details of the 2024 ‘RCB Unbox’ event but it is likely to be similar to that of last year’s. As per reports, former skipper Virat Kohli is likely to attend the event and make his first public appearance in almost two years. However, neither the franchise nor the player has confirmed the development but given the fact that RCB will play their first match just three days after the event, Virat is expected to attend.
On the other hand, RCB have confirmed that the tickets will go live on March 9. The minimum cost of a ticket is INR 800, while the highest is INR 4000. The franchise is selling the tickets on its official website along with merchandise and various products.

RCB to play CSK in opening game
The Faf du Plessis-led side will play their opening game against defending champions Chennai Super Kings at M Chidambaram Stadium on March 22. There’s no official update on when RCB will regroup and start training for the competition but it is expected to happen after India’s Test series against England concludes.
Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings under MS Dhoni have begun their practice at Chepauk. The former India captain was spotted batting in the nets for quite some time as the video of the same went viral on social media. The legendary cricketer underwent knee surgery right after IPL 2023 and there were doubts regarding his batting fitness but the 42-year-old looked fine as Deepak Chahar expects him to play at least two more seasons of the cash-rich league.
